December is dry and cool, with afternoons around 23 °C, holiday parties on selected nights, the Candlelight Processional at Epcot with celebrity narrators and the busiest fortnight of the year from Christmas Eve to New Year's Day, when the Magic Kingdom can reach capacity and close to new arrivals by mid-morning. The first two weeks are far calmer and still fully decorated. Rain falls on about six days.
The Pop Warner youth football championships fill the resorts in the second week. New Year's Eve brings fireworks at all the parks and late hours. Cold fronts can drop mornings to single figures.
