February is mild, dry and generally pleasant, with afternoons around 24 °C, low crowds in the first half and a spike over Presidents' Day week in the third week when Northeastern schools break. It is one of the best months for park days: short lines, comfortable afternoons and lower rates outside that week. Rain falls on about six days.
The Epcot Festival of the Arts continues to late February. Mardi Gras at Universal brings parades and concerts on selected nights from February into April. The Daytona 500 in mid-February fills hotels along the I-4 corridor toward the coast. Water parks reopen on warm days. Daylight passes eleven and a half hours.
