November is the rainiest month, with about six wet days and some real downpours, All Saints' Day on 1 November, grey spells and the Christmas lights switching on along Passeig de Gràcia in the last week of the month. The Santa Llúcia market opens by the cathedral at the end of November. Hotel rates are among the lowest, and the Gaudí sites are easy to book. Afternoons average 17 °C.
