08Editor's notes

What the numbers don't tell you

March is still cold, with afternoons around 6 °C, but brighter, with the CPH:DOX documentary festival in the second half and the first outdoor tables on sunny days along the lakes. Tivoli remains closed until its season opening around Easter. It is one of the cheapest months, and the daylight already stretches past six in the evening by the end, with the clocks going forward on the last Sunday.

Rain or sleet falls on about ten days. The crocuses and the first daffodils appear in the King's Garden and at Frederiksberg. Easter can fall in late March, when Maundy Thursday, Good Friday and Easter Monday are all public holidays and most shops close for four days. The harbour is still cold for swimming. For the Tivoli opening and the first warm weekends, see April.
