April brings the Easter markets on Old Town Square and Wenceslas Square, blossom on Petřín Hill in the second half and the first beer-garden afternoons at Letná and Riegrovy sady. Witches' Night bonfires on 30 April are a local ritual on the hills. Weather can swing from warm to sleet within days, with afternoons around 14 °C. Crowds jump in Easter week, when Good Friday and Easter Monday are holidays.
